Stuart Soffer is a technical expert on Intellectual Property issues regarding software, the Internet and digital rights, and through IPriori, Inc., also consults on IP development, licensing and commercialization.

In 2003 Stu began assembling a comprehensive database of IP litigation, noted as a basis for various studies. Stu presents empirical research findings as an invited speaker, including presentations on Intellectual Property Aspects of Green/Eco Technologies.

Since 2007 Stu is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Stanford Law School Center for Internet and Society, and in 2009 was named as one of the IAM 250: The World's Leading IP Strategists.

IPriori can analyze software code to determine its functionality and compare it with patent claims, disclosure or other software. We prepare an expert report, or testify in the form of declaration, deposition or at trial. Alternately, we convey that knowledge to attorneys, the Court or other testifying experts if the situation warrants.

The code may be in any number of languages, including C, C++, X-Code, Java or assemblers.
